  • 115 reviews | 1,156 travellers
Awesome!!!!! I recommend it 100%. The whole team that works there are very professional and friendly. The Spanish group was able to enjoy the explanations of our guide Abel who clearly loves his job, because he made us have a great time. Next year if I go back I will come back. It's amazing to see the sun, the moon and the stars with professional equipment.

Teide Stargazing Tour from North Tenerife

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point in North Tenerife and welcome you aboard the minibus. We'll make our way up to the Teide National Park, which is one of the most impressive places on the island.

Our first stop will be at the Teide Observatory, which houses one of the most important solar telescopes in the world. Did you know that this astronomical station began operating in 1964? We'll head inside its facilities and take a guided tour that'll allow us to learn about its modern technology.

During the tour of the Teide Observatory, we'll discover why Tenerife is one of the best places in the world to gaze up at the stars. We'll explain how the astrophysicists carry out their research at this centre and see the sun like never before through the centre's telescopes.

In addition, we'll admire the sunset on Mount Teide. As the sun begins to set behind the silhouette of this volcano, we'll gaze at the sky and the gorgeous hues of pink and orange that mark the transition from day to night.

As the sun sets, we'll come to the base station of the Teide cable car. Here, we'll spend 30 minutes resting and enjoying a delicious picnic meal consisting of a sausage and cheese sandwich, a sweet treat and a bottle of water or a soft drink.

Next, you'll be able to spend 1 hour 15 minutes using long-range telescopes to spot plenty of constellations in the night sky. You'll learn how to find the North Star and discover the links between Greek mythology and celestial bodies.

We'll then drop you off back at the starting point 8 hours together.

Tour with or without food

If you don't want to have the picnic meal, you can book the tour option without food. In this case, you'll need to bring something to eat with you.

This activity includes pickup from the main hotels and central points in Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava and Santa Úrsula. When making your booking, you'll be able to see the full list of included pickup locations.
