Puerto Cabello Guided Tour

Welcome to Puerto Cabello! At the appointed time we'll meet at Plaza El Águila and set off on a walking tour of Venezuela's main port city.

Throughout the tour, we'll pass by some of the most important sites in Puerto Cabello, a city full of colors and stories that will leave you captivated. First up? A visit to Malecón, the perfect first stop for a crash course into Venezuela's storied past that's full of fountains and sculptures of mermaids!

From here, we'll head to Plaza Bolívar, the Cathedral of San José, located at the site of the Anzoátegui Barracks. After admiring this recent construction, we'll arrive at the Museo Casa Herrera, where we'll spend about half an hour learning about the history of Puerto Cabello.

Afterward, we'll travel back in time looking at the colorful houses of the colonial era and reviewing stories and legends of Puerto Cabello, starring pirates and captains who fought for control of trade during the fifteenth century.

Plus, along our route we'll find other outstanding monuments, such as the Church of El Rosario, the Casa Guipuzcoana, the Plaza Juan José Flores, the Street Lanceros and its Prefects or the Monument to Decentralization. Do not forget to take pictures!
