La Malinche National Park Trek
La Malinche National Park Trek
At 6 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puebla and head to the state of Tlaxcala on our way to the La Malinche National Park where we'll be embarking on a 10-hour hiking route.
When we get to the park we'll head to a hostel located 3100 metres above water level, where we'll start the hike. Ready? We'll trek up the mountainside through forests of oyamel, conifers and pine trees, climbing slopes of up to 45 degrees!
Then we'll make a stop in an area called Los Arenales, where we can rest and enjoy the views. From there, we'll have a much closer look at the summit of La Malinche volcano.
Last stretch! We'll climb up to 4461 metres and, if the weather is good, we'll have the chance to see the chain of volcanoes: Citlaltépetl, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl - it's like something out of a movie!
Lastly, we'll head back down to the hostel to get into the vehicles and return to Puebla. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled for 7 pm.
