Discover the lush forests and enchanting lagoons in one of Araucanía's most beautiful natural areas on our Huerquehue National Park Hike. We'll spend the day walking among breathtaking scenery on this unforgettable activity.
Huerquehue National Park Hike
At 8 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pucón and drive to the Huerquehue National Park, a beautiful protected area in the Chilean region of Araucanía.
We'll begin our hike by exploring the forests in the park. As we'll see, the beauty of this grove lies in its thousand-year-old monkey-puzzle trees, one of the main natural treasures of this area. While strolling among the trees we'll learn about the conditions that allow this botanical species, which is abundant in South America, to thrive.
The Huerquehue National Park is not only famous for its Araucaria forests, but also for its lakes. During our hiking route, we'll head to the Tinquilco, Verde, Toro and Chico lakes and admire the lush greenery that surrounds them.
As we continue walking, we'll discover some of the park's other plants, such as coigüe and lenga trees. We'll also learn about the wildlife found in the Huerquehue National Park, which includes animals such as Darwin's frogs and pudus, the smallest species of deer in the world.
After an unforgettable hike, we'll return to the starting point of our route and then make our way back to Pucón. Our arrival is scheduled for 1 pm.
