Horse Ride through the National Reserve of Villarrica Tour
Horse Ride through the National Reserve of Villarrica Tour
At the appointed time we'll meet at the Camino Quelhue, where the Antilco stables are located, where the horses will be waiting for us. There we'll start our horseback ride through the Villarrica National Reserve, one of the main natural areas of the Chilean region of La Araucanía.
As we enjoy the horseback ride we'll see constantly changing landscapes: first farmland, then Araucanian forests, and finally, groves of coihues and Chilean mañio trees. The latter species, which belongs to the coniferous genus, can reach a height of 40 metres (131 feet)!
During the route, we'll pass a beautiful waterfall and enjoy incomparable views of three great volcanoes: Villarrica, Quetrupillán and Lanín. On the way back we'll follow the course of the Trancura River, where we'll observe the famous La Leona rapid.
Finally, we'll return to the stables and, after two hours of riding, we'll say goodbye to the horses and end the activity.
