Cashibococha Lagoon Tour
Cashibococha Lagoon Tour
At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Pucallpa and take you to the port of Cashibococha. There we'll take a boat and sail to the community of La Pequeña María.
Upon arrival, we'll see how this ecolodge has managed to use the natural resources in order to make this place an ecologically sustainable village. We'll see the plantations of cocona, mandarins, camu-camu and other varieties of fruit trees. We'll also learn about the solar panel system that provides energy to the entire site. If you feel like it, you can take a dip in the swimming pool and enjoy the hydro-massage.
You'll then have an hour's time for lunch at La Pequeña María or we'll set off for Cashibo Ecolodge for you to eat as soon as you arrive, whichever you prefer. At either place you'll be able to buy something to eat.
Refreshed, we'll get into kayaks to paddle across the Cashibococha lagoon. We'll come to a traditional mill and an alchemical still of two vessels connected by a tube, used for the distillation of liquids. We'll learn all about the distillation of alcohol and even have the chance to try our hand at grinding sugar cane.
Afterwards, you'll be able to connect with the environment while relaxing in the hammocks of the lodge and then we'll watch the sunset over the lake- it'll be a magical moment for sure!
Finally, we'll be on our way back to Pucallpa, where we're expected to arrive at the hotel at approximately 6 pm.
