Horseback Riding in Providencia
Horseback Riding in Providencia
After picking you up at your accommodation, we'll head over to the beautiful Southwest beach where we'll get to see the sunrise while we meet the horses that will accompany us during our ride around the island of Providencia.
Once we've gotten all settled atop the horses, we'll set off on a ride of about two kilometers (1.25 miles) to reach the top of Peak, the highest mountain on the island. At 360 meters (850 feet) high, we'll get a unique panoramic view of Providencia and the Caribbean Sea down below. This place is known by the locals as the "meditation rock". Did you know that they call it this way because it was the resting place of the slaves during colonial times?
We'll continue our tour through Old Providence McBean Lagoon National Park and enter the tropical dry forest to try to spot some native wildlife. We'll pass by local farms and eventually arrive in paradise: the dazzling Manzanillo beach.
We'll stop to rest in this natural enclave, considered one of the most beautiful bays in Providencia. Ready for a dip in the crystal-clear water? And while relaxing under the Colombian sun, we'll indulge in a traditional-style local lunch.
