Providencia Fishing Tour
Options
When booking, you can choose from the following options:
4-hour fishing tour
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Providencia and head to the Palmera and Basalto Cays, where we'll do our fishing activity. Did you know that fishing is an ancient practice used in the Colombian islands to sustain the community?
As we set sail on the boat from the north to the south of Providencia, the guide will explain how the fish are cleaned and how to do trolling, a simple fishing technique that consists of dragging bait from the boat. Now you know the techniques, let's catch barracuda and mackerel!
In addition, since we're in the beautiful Colombian Caribbean, we'll make the most of it and pass by the paradisical beaches of Providencia, such as the Aguadulce and Bahía Sur Oeste beaches. At the latter, we'll top for a lunch of grilled fish.
After an enriching experience, we'll return to your hotel after a total of 4 hours of activity.
5-hour lionfish fishing tour
If you want to have an even fuller experience and you have a professional diving certificate and more than 20 dives, you can join us on a lionfish fishing tour. This fish meat is considered to be one of the best in the area since it has white boneless flesh and is very smooth.
In this case, we'll go fishing in One Hook and Pelagic Spot, 2 places on the island where you can spot lionfish, as well as colourful coral. We'll fish with Hawaiian harpoons that are designed to catch these fish. After this experience, we'll serve lunch, composed of lionfish ceviche.
If you choose this option, please bear in mind that hotel pickup isn't included, so you must go directly to the Felipe Diving Centre.
