Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Praia and drive to Santiago Island's west coast. Along the way, we'll make short stops so you can take pictures of the picturesque villages of São Domingos and Assomada.
Our bus will drop us at Ribeira da Barca, a coastal village where we'll take a 30-minute trip on a fishing boat. We'll then continue along Santiago's coastline towards Achada Leite. In this spot, we'll stop for a short time to admire the coastal rock formations, which are considered one of the seven wonders of Cape Verde.
The next stop will be at Aguas Belas Beach, where you'll have 1 hour of free time to swim in the Atlantic and snorkel in the sea caves. After you've taken a dip, you'll enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch on the beach, consisting of grilled meat or fish and a side dish of vegetables and rice.
After lunch, we'll return to Ribeira da Barca and stroll around at a leisurely pace so you can take the time to notice this village's delightful scenery. We'll also make sure to look out at the cliffs, and how their greenish and ochre tones blend smoothly with the Atlantic's intense blue colour.
Lastly, we'll return to your hotel in Praia, where you should arrive between 5 and 6 hours after pickup.
