Options
During the booking process, you can opt for either of the following routes. In each case, you (and up to 1 other passenger) will drive a quad behind that of an English–speaking guide, who will lead the way. Each route starts at the indicated time from Rua Mario Bordignon in Praia Grande.
Chapecó canyon tour (1.5 hours)
On this tour from Praia Grande, we'll cover 16 kilometres (about 10 miles), fording rivers, crossing bridges, skirting mountains and navigating rural back roads! These trails will take us to the Chapecó Canyon viewpoint, where we'll enjoy magnificent panoramic views of this beautiful natural environment.
Afterwards, we'll make a short stop at the Hahn Cachaça factory to see how this popular drink is made, and then head to the spectacular Carol waterfall, which plunges from a height of 30 metres (98 feet).
After taking some time to enjoy the waterfall, we'll return back to the starting point.
Timetable: this tour takes place at 10 am and at 4 pm.
Chapecó and Tajuvas canyons tour (1.5 hours)
If you choose this option, we'll cover approximately 25 kilometres (16 miles), starting by crossing the inland landscapes of Praia Grande towards the Chapecó Canyon. There, we'll stop at the Milky Way swing where you'll be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery as you swing!
We'll then drive to the Tajuvas Canyon viewpoint, which is 600 metres (1968 feet) above sea level, from which point we'll see the north coast of Rio Grande do Sul. After enjoying the panoramic views, we'll visit the Hahn cachaças factory and marvel at the Carol waterfall.
From this waterfall, we'll return to the meeting point.
Timetable: this tour takes place at 9 am and 1:30 pm.
Requirements
Each quad has a maximum capacity of 2 people. However, only adults over the age of 18 and with a valid driving licence may drive the quads. If two adults share a quad bike and meet the driving requirements, they can take turns driving the vehicle for the entire route.
Children from 6 to 10 years old can participate in the experience, but only as passengers. Children under 6 are not allowed to participate in this activity.
