At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Rua Irineu Bornhausen to begin our free tour of Praia Grande. Are you ready to discover its charms?
The tour of the capital of the Santa Catarina Canyons, as they are popularly known, will begin with a stroll around Abel Esteves de Aguiar Street, the main artery of the town. Afterwards, we'll make a stop at the Grota Bier Brewery, where you'll be able to try different types of beer at your own pace. Next, we'll discover what tafona is, an artisan process involved in the making of cornflour.
Then, we'll make our way to the front of Hotel Acasarosa and continue walking towards the craft fair. The perfect time to buy a souvenir of Praia Grande and explore the products that are sold at the stalls.
To learn more about the history of the town, we'll make our way to the main square where the famous scale model of the canyons is located, After admiring this artwork, we'll head to the Matriz São Sebastião Church, built in 1951. You'll adore it!
Lastly, we'll head to the Mampituba bath, a leisure area located 50 metres (164 feet) from the city centre and Mampituba River banks, which divide the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
