The guide was great, always presenting the places from a historical perspective. The tour is super peaceful and easy to do on foot.

Free Walking Tour of Prague

To begin this free walking tour of Prague, we'll meet in Wenceslas Square, to first admire the old city moat, which in years past, was forced into action during sieges around the time of the Austrian Succession (1740-1748) and the Seven Years War (1756-1763)

Once we're all together, we'll make our way towards the end of Wenceslas Square, to admire the neoclassical beauty of the Czech National Museum. Leaving the almost 14 million items housed inside for another day, we'll enter Prague's Old Town in search of the contrasting Gothic and Baroque architectural styles of the Old Town's main square and the world-renowned Astronomical Clock: an impressive feat of medieval engineering which has been in operation for over 600 years. To this day, it still tells the time and gives astronomical information. Amazing!

After stopping for a short break, our next stop on this walking tour of the Czech capital will be the Jewish Quarter. Here, we'll check out the birthplace of the famous writer Franz Kafka and the setting of the classic expressionist movie "The Golem: How He Came into the World"

Finally, after around 2 hours together, this free walking tour of Prague will come to an end. We'll say our goodbyes in front of the Rudolfinum Concert Hall. Until next time!
