Advanced Hiking in Potrerillos
When making your booking, you'll be able to choose from two advanced hiking routes in Potrerillos. They both last between 6 and 7 hours, include an English-speaking guide and set off from the Parque de Aventura:
Las Cabras Hike
To begin, we'll take a bus to the area of El Salto, where we'll embark on a high-intensity hike. We'll spend 5 hours walking through this gorge until we come to its famous waterfall. If we're lucky with the weather, you'll be able to cool off in the waterfall.
The hike will then take us to Las Cabras Hill. Once we've reached the summit, we'll refuel with a lunch of sandwiches, fruit, juice and water. We'll then make our way back down to the starting point.
This hike is recommended in winter.
Arenales Hill Hike
We'll leave the Parque de Aventura behind and travel by bus to the Vallecitos area. When we get there, we'll hike up to the summit of Arenales Hill, which is located at an altitude of 11,076 feet (3,376 metres). This route will be moderate to difficult.
Once we're at the summit, we'll have a picnic lunch of sandwiches, fruit, juice and water. In winter we'll be walking in the snow, so we recommend renting snowshoes.
We recommend doing this hike in summer.
