Potosí City & Mines Sightseeing Tour + Thuru Museum

At your chosen time, we'll see you on Calle Ayacucho so we can get our guided tour of Potosí's historic centre started.

On our 1-hour 30-minute route through the old town, we'll stroll through 10 November Square. Here, we'll see the façade of Potosí Cathedral and the old Mint. We'll then continue admiring the exterior of some of the city's other iconic monuments, such as the Tower of the Society of Jesus and the Convent of Santa Teresa.

We'll also pause in front of the famous Cobija Arch and make our way along the central Boulevard, the main pedestrian street of the city. After our tour of Potosí, we'll go to its popular mining market to find out what its most coveted products are.

Next, we'll head to the Kunty Mine and its nearby refining plant so we can see these two important industrial centres from the outside. We'll then visit the Thuru Museum, where we'll observe a large collection of minerals and working equipment used in the colonial mining era.

After visiting the Thuru Museum we'll return to the centre of Potosi, arriving 4 hours 30 minutes after our tour began.
