Hacienda Cayara & Villacolo Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll meet in front of the Casa de la Moneda and set off on our day trip to some of the most iconic places surrounding the Villa Imperial de Potosí

On the way we'll make a stop to visit the Devil's Cave, a local natural attraction. Afterwards we'll head to the historic Hacienda Cayara, which dates back to 1557. It was also the first hacienda built in Bolivia.

Today, the estate also serves as a hostel and houses a museum. We'll learn all about its fascinating history by visiting the manor house and its rooms, which are full of valuable objects. In addition, we'll admire its colonial-era architecture and the beautiful paintings that decorate its rooms.

After visiting the hacienda we'll head to Villacolo, which is a 1-hour drive away. When we get there, we'll visit its dam and enjoy the lovely scenery surrounding the reservoir.

We'll then pass by a cave where we'll see cave paintings before stopping for a picnic lunch of a burger, fruit and water.

Having spent an incredible day exploring Potosí's surroundings, we'll return to the city and drop you off at around 4 pm.
