Salto Encantado & Moconá Day Trip
Salto Encantado & Moconá Day Trip
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Posadas and drive to the Salto Encantado Provincial Park.
As we begin our tour of this incredible natural area, which is one of the most important in the province of Misiones, we'll admire the fantastic waterfall to which the park owes its name. We'll take in the sight of the water cascading down from a height of 210 feet (64 metres) and see some smaller waterfalls nearby, such as La Olla, Picaflor, Escondido and Acutí.
After visiting Salto Encantado, we'll continue to the Moconá Provincial Park. This word translates to "the one that swallows everything" in the Guaraní language. This area is also home to a unique geological fault.
Over the fault, which is located in the Uruguay riverbed, a spectacular set of 82-foot (25-metre) high waterfalls cascades down to a depth of 377 feet (115 metres). We'll take in the sight of all these waterfalls on a boat trip through the Moconá Falls.
While we're in the Moconá Provincial Park, we'll also visit the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve, where the river of the same name flows into the Pepirí Guazú, Uruguay, Serapio and Calixto Rivers.
Our last stop will be at the Yabotí restaurant. Here, you can have a traditional meal at your own expense, which will include a main course of meat, vegetables or pasta, and a dessert.
Once we've had lunch, we'll return to your hotel in Posadas and drop you off around 7 pm.
