We'll start our tour of Apóstoles at the Casa del Mate, also known as the "National Capital of Yerba Mate," where you can discover the origins of Argentine yerba mate. This raw material, essential to prepare one of the most popular infusions in the country, is one of the main signs of identity of the Ukrainian and Polish communities that arrived in this area of the province of Misiones at the end of the 19th century

The next stop is the Juan Szychowski Historical Museum, which you can also visit at your leisure. Its exhibition reviews the history of La Cachuera S.A., the most important yerba mate exporting company in Argentina.

During your visit to the museum, you'll be able to see the process of harvesting and processing yerba mate. At the end of the tour, those who wish can take the time to enjoy a tasting of mates and other infusions on their own. After this tasting, you'll return to your hotel in Posadas.

Tea Tour (8 Hours)

On this tour, we'll travel to the outskirts of Apóstoles to visit the La Ruta del Té estate. When you arrive, you'll be able to explore the different tea plantations at your leisure. In addition, the staff of this place will explain the types of harvesting according to the types of tea leaves.

During the tour, we'll learn about the origins of tea plantations in Argentina. We'll also discover how this drink has become popular all over the South American continent, being nowadays one of the most consumed infusions in the world.

In the afternoon, you'll be able to try dishes designed by La Vieja Fábrica restaurant's chef. At the end of the visit, we'll have the chance to enjoy a tasting of different types of tea made in Misiones. Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel in Posadas.

Yerba Mate & Tea Tour (10 Hours)

In this case, we'll first do the tea tour described in the previous section. After taking the time to enjoy a tasting at the La Ruta del Té estate, where you'll also be able to grab a bite to try some of the local gastronomy, we'll continue our visit to Posadas with the yerba mate tour described in the first section.

We'll learn all the secrets of the main raw material of mate at the Juan Szychowski Historical Museum in Apóstoles. After visiting this museum, where you'll have the chance to enjoy a tasting of Argentinean mates, we'll return to your hotel in Apóstoles.
