Discover the beautiful island of Ons with this return ferry trip to and from Portonovo. Relax on its idyllic beaches, enjoy its gastronomy, and learn about the history of this unique natural enclave.
Description
On arrival at the port of Portonovo, you'll board a ferry that will take you to the beautiful Island of Ons, an area which forms part of the Atlantic Islands Natural Park.
On arrival at Ons, it's then up to you to decide how you want to enjoy your time there. If you feel like a day of relaxation, then you can unwind in the crystal clear waters of the beautiful beaches. If you're looking for adventure, you can do some of the trekking routes that the island offers (not included).
Another option is to stroll along the streets of the island, which will remind you of a typical Galician coastal town. You'll walk among their houses, browse their stores, and meet the locals of this unique natural enclave.
No trip to Ons Island would be complete without tasting its wonderful, traditional cuisine. Nothing better to complete the experience than a typical octopus dish (not included) before taking the ferry back to Portonovo.
Important: Authorization to visit Ons Island
Ons Island is a protected area with a daily quota of visitors, and it's necessary to obtain authorization from the Xunta de Galicia in order to travel to it. Our tour provider will manage this authorization for you, so it's very important that you provide all the necessary, valid information when making the booking, otherwise we cannot guarantee access to the island.
Once the authorization has been processed, you'll receive it by e-mail. It's essential that you bring it, in addition to your voucher, either in printed format or on your cell phone.
If for any reason any of the people cannot attend the activity, you must give at least 15 days' notice and indicate the name and surname of the person who will be absent so that the Xunta de Galicia can remove him/her from the list.
