Enjoy the city of the six bridges on this tuk-tuk tour of Porto and cruise down the beautiful Douro River. You can also opt to combine this activity by visiting a winery with a wine tasting!
Activity Details
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Largo Actor Dias Street, in front of the towers of the Fernandina Wall to start the first part of the tour—a tuk-tuk ride to explore the city's most iconic monuments.
We'll go through the old town of Oporto, passing by its ancient walls, the outside of the São Bento train station, the Clérigos Tower, or the Cathedral.
As we enjoy the tuk-tuk tour, the guide-driver will tell you lots of interesting facts about this city that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It also has one of the most beautiful book shops in the world, which is rumored to be the inspiration for J.K. Rowling when she was writing the first book in the Harry Potter series.
After a 50-minute ride, we'll finish the tour at the starting point. There, we'll give you a ticket to enjoy a ride on a rabelo, a traditional boat that will take you on a cruise on the Douro River. You'll see the famous six bridges of Porto and see Vila Nova de Gaia on a fascinating panoramic 55-minute cruise.
The boat trip, which starts at the Muelle de Gaia dock, can be done on the same day as the tuk-tuk tour or at any other time within the next 30 days - it's up to you!
Itinerary Adjustments
Due to renovation works in the historic centre, we won't be able to do the tuk-tuk tour in that area and the itinerary will be modified until further notice. We'll go to Vila Nova de Gaia, passing by the Infante Bridge. We'll then visit the Serra do Pilar and the Jardim do Morro, before descending to the Gaia riverside. The tour will also include a panoramic view of the city before returning to the meeting point.
As compensation, you'll receive a voucher for a 1 or 2-hour guided walking tour of the historic centre.
Guided Tour Schedule
- Monday to Sunday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am (2 hours)
- Monday to Sunday from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm (1 hour)
Port Wine Cellar Tour
You can book an even more immersive experience that includes, in addition to the tuk-tuk tour and the Six Bridges cruise, a visit to a winery in Porto. The 30-minute tour includes a tasting of two glasses of wine with an English-speaking guide at the Burmester winery.
Like the cruise, the winery visit can be done on the same day as the tuk-tuk tour or within the next 30 days.
Cruse & Winery Tour Schedules
The opening hours for the Six Bridges Cruise and the guided tour of the Port Wine Cellar are as follows:

- Guided tour of a Port wine cellar: Daily from 11 am to 5 pm. After the tuk-tuk tour, we'll give you the ticket to visit a winery and explain how to make the reservation to guarantee availability. The visit to the winery can be done on the same day as the tuk-tuk tour or at any time during the following 30 days. You have the option of touring either Bodega Burmester or Bodega Fonseca.
- If you book the tour at 6 pm, you won't be able to visit the wineries or do the cruise on the same day as the tuk-tuk tour. You can do it the next day or within the following 30 days.
