At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the São Bento da Vitória Monastery. This 17th-century monastery is located next to the Portuguese Centre of Photography, in the historic centre of Porto.
As soon as we arrive, we'll be welcomed with a glass of Singeverg. Did you know that this typical liqueur is handmade by the Benedictine monks? After this first tasting, we'll take a guided tour of the monastery of São Bento da Vitória.
During the tour, we'll discover its main buildings. Among them, the church of São Bento da Vitória stands out, where we'll see an 18th-century organ and a spectacular golden baroque altar.
The guided tour, which will last approximately 30 minutes, will end in the monastery's sacristy. In this room, you'll enjoy an unforgettable Fado show, Portugal's most traditional musical genre.
The concert will last an hour, with an intermission of 10 minutes. During the break, we'll enjoy a glass of Porto wine, a symbol of the north of the country.
Finally, the activity, which will last 1.5 hours in total, will end as the Fado show comes to a close.
