If you're up for a different spin on visiting the most gorgeous city in northern Portugal, check out our amphibious bus tour of Porto. It'll be double the fun!
Porto Amphibian Bus Tour
Let's kick off our unforgettable amphibious bus tour of Porto! Meet us at Avenida da República, right in front of Jardim do Morro. Get ready to hop aboard this unique DUKW vehicle, used during World War II, and explore the city like never before—on both land and water!
First up, we'll hit the streets and take the overland tour, passing by the Serra do Pilar Monastery. Then, we'll cross the Duero River over the Luis I Bridge to enter the historic center of Porto. Once we reach the old town, we'll see the Cathedral and the Torre dos Clérigos.
From here, we'll continue our tour of Porto, passing by the Gardens of the Crystal Palace. From there, it's time to hit the water where we'll dive into the banks of the river to cross the Douro with the amphibious bus until we reach the western bank of the river. At this point, we'll return to the surface to continue with the land tour next to the Convent of Santo Antonio del Valle de la Piedad.
Next up, the route continues next to the Arrábida Bridge and the Afurada area. After leaving behind this fishing village at the mouth of the Douro, we'll cross the river again with the amphibious bus for another route on land that will take us to the Centro de Congresos Alfândega do Porto.
Finally, after 1 hour and 15 minutes, we'll end the tour by returning to the meeting point.
