Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Porto Seguro and head to Vila de Santo André, where we'll take a boat trip on the João de Tiba River. Did you know that this river located on the border between the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais is also known as the Santa Cruz River?
When we arrive at the embarkation point, we'll board the boat to navigate the João de Tiba River until its confluence with the Mutum River. At this point, we'll turn off the boat's engines, as the channel through which we'll pass is a narrow natural tunnel formed by native trees. The perfect photo opportunity!
After crossing this stretch, we'll reach an idyllic spot where we'll see an orchard with houses built on the banks of the river João de Tiba by local families that have been preserved from generation to generation.
We'll disembark to meet the locals and pick seasonal fruits. We'll also learn about the typical foods and the plants used for natural remedies of this native community that decided to keep its roots. Afterwards, we'll listen to some interesting facts about the history of the river. If you want, you can also do some horseriding.
Finally, we'll get back on the boat to return to Santo André. From there, we'll return to your hotel in Porto Seguro. Arrival is scheduled 8 hours after pickup.
