On this day trip to Coroa Vermelha, you'll enjoy a beautiful beach day and visit the Pataxó community to learn about Brazil's indigenous culture.
Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up at the designated time at your hotel in Porto Seguro to head to the Costa do Descobrimiento, one of the most beautiful sites in the state of Bahia.
Our first stop will be at Coroa Vermelha. The first mass celebrated in Brazil was at this site, located between Porto Seguro and Santa Cruz Cabrália, and was officiated by Henrique de Coímbra Sunday, April 26, 1500. Once we reach this sandbank, you'll discover how this historic event took place.
Next, we'll visit the Pataxó community, where we'll learn about the customs and traditions of Bahia's indigenous population. You'll learn about the main artisanal products crafted in this community, which use wood, seeds, and other materials to create different hand-made items.
During the visit to this community, you'll also learn many interesting facts about Brazil's indigenous culture, such as their diet, daily life, and the origins of their language.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Porto Seguro, where we'll conclude this 6.5-hour day trip.
