Columbia River & Multnomah Falls Tour
Columbia River & Multnomah Falls Tour
Once we've met up on Main Street at the scheduled time, we'll leave Portland behind and venture into the State of Oregon's lush forests.
Have you heard of the Lewis and Clark Expedition? These two Americans set off from St. Louis and travelled west across the country to the Pacific coast. During their adventure, they canoed down the Columbia River and discovered the scenery along its banks. Rooster Rock, Cape Horn and Mist Falls are some of the places that Lewis and Clark's route would pass through. We'll also see these places on our tour.
We'll follow in the footsteps of these explorers, who made their expedition 200 years ago, and marvel at the nature found on the Colombia River. Our route will also take us past Multnomah Falls, a spectacular waterfall that towers at a height of 541 feet (165 metres).
After taking a break at Multnomah Falls, our tour will continue to the Bonneville Dam and Fish Hatchery. We'll then pass by Beacon Rock, a monolith that stands out against the lush landscape.
On our way back to Portland, we'll take the Historic Columbia River Highway and admire the incredible views. We'll pass the old Crown Point Observatory and the basalt formations of Shepper's Dell before arriving back at the starting point 2 hours after our departure.
