Kayaking Tour in the Caroni Bird Sanctuary
We'll pick you up from the hotel you've selected in Port of Spain to kick off our kayaking trip through the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. We'll head towards the swampy area with the most extensive mangroves on the island, where you'll be captivated!
After a cool 15-kilometer route (9.3 miles), we'll arrive at our launch point, where we'll also find our kayaks ready and waiting for us in plain nature. We'll hop into our kayaks and set down the lagoons that make up the Caroni Bird Sanctuary.
As we paddle along, we'll come to admire the pure natural landscape that surrounds us. We'll find ourselves enveloped by mangroves and lush forest vegetation, accented by the sounds of the forest.
Throughout our kayaking route in Caroni, we'll see several bird species, small reptiles, anteaters, owls, and the strikingly beautiful scarlett ibis!
Then, on the route back, we'll board a small boat that will take us through the canals as we return to our starting point.
Following 2 hours of pure natural adventure, we'll bring you back to your hotel, ending the experience.
