We'll pick you up from the hotel you've selected in Port of Spain and make our way to the swampy area, where we'll find the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. Let's explore the native flora and fauna of Trinidad and Tobago!
We'll find the biggest mangroves in Trinidad and Tobago at the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. Once we've arrived, we'll board a boat to explore this natural wonder and the animals that call the area home. Alongside our knowledgeable guide, we'll learn why the animals move around most in the later hours of the afternoon, among other fun facts.
Throughout the tour we'll try to spot the elusive scarlett ibis, with their long, thin beaks and striking red color. If we're lucky enough to spot one, we'll be able to admire its swift movements through the tree branches. It's no wonder why it's one of the national birds of Trinidad and Tobago!
Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for more animals moving through the treetops and on the forest floor. With the help of our guide, we can identify various species hiding within the tree branches or in the bush. Plus, we'll learn all about the natural habitats of other animals, such as alligators, anteaters, owls, and even snakes.
Then, after 2 hours of natural sightseeing, we'll return to the hotel in Port of Spain, bringing our experience to an end.
