Tacarigua Hike + Lunch on Zaragoza Beach
Description
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head to the town of Tacarigua, the starting point for our hiking route, with fantastic views of Isla Margarita. Adventurers, let's go!
After approximately half an hour of travelling, we'll reach Jardín Café. From here, we'll start a walk along one of the ascending routes, surrounded by lush vegetation to reach a viewpoint at one of the highest peaks in Tacarigua.
Over the course of 3 hours, we'll learn all about the area's nature and wildlife. Plus, it will be worth the hike, since the views of Isla Margarita are totally breathtaking. Don't forget your camera!
We'll then return to the start of the hike and get some energy back with an empanada pastry and a fruit juice, or a cachapa. You choose! Next, we'll get back on the minibus and go to Zaragoza Square, where we'll enjoy a delicious fish-based lunch.
Now it's time to relax! We'll give you an hour of free time to enjoy the beach, relax under the sun and swim in the clear water.
Later, we'll continue the tour by visiting the Museo Pueblos in Margarita, where we'll see how sugar cane is used to make a traditional trapiche. Plus, to top off this experience, we'll join a rum tasting experience with a piñonate, a very typical local treat.
On the home stretch of the tour, we'll visit La Galera Fort, in the town of Juangriego, an idyllic spot to admire the sunset.
Finally, we'll drop you back off at your hotel after a total of 10-11 hours.
