Coconuco Hot Springs (7 hours)
At 10 am we'll leave Popayán and head southeast to reach the hot springs of Salinas, in Coconuco. We'll visit its spa and discover the nature that surrounds these hot springs, as well as the traditions of the Indigenous Peoples of the area.
You'll have free time to enjoy the hot springs and take advantage of the different health benefits they have. Then, to complete the day, we'll enjoy a delicious traditional lunch.
Silvia Excursion (7 hours)
We'll start this excursion to Silvia at 8 am. We'll travel for an hour to this town located in the Colombian Cordillera Central known as the Switzerland of America. We'll stroll through its streets and visit its main attractions, such as the Parish of Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá and the local market.
After lunch, we'll visit the region of Guambia, famous for its large population of Indigenous Peoples. Here we'll visit a Misak or Guambiano community and meet some of the local residents. You'll even get to learn about their typical garb! We'll finish the excursion at approximately 4 pm.
Puracé Volcano (13 hours)
We'll start the tour at 5 am and head southeast towards the Puracé National Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1979.
Upon arrival, members of the local Indigenous community will welcome us with a hot drink and we'll begin a hiking route to the Puracé volcano. For approximately five hours, we'll take on the slopes of the volcano, discovering the most amazing natural points of the park, such as the Kokonukos volcano chain, among which the famous Sugar Loaf stands out.
Upon reaching the highest point, you'll have free time to recharge your batteries. At 3 pm, we'll visit the hot springs of the Puracé volcano, where you can take a relaxing bath. After this stop, we'll start our descent and return to Popayán.
Important: This activity is only for people over 8 years old.
Flight of the Andean Condor (11 hours)
We'll start this private excursion at 7 am and travel to the Puracé National Natural Park, at 3,400 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, we'll go on a walking tour to admire the beautiful landscapes and wildlife that call the Colombian Cordillera Central home.
During the tour, we'll go to the best areas to witness the flight of the Andean condor, one of the country's most precious species. Of course, we'll tell you all the peculiarities of these majestic birds - you'll be left speechless!
The private tour will also take us to discover Frailejones Valley, the Bedón Waterfall, and the viewpoint of the Andulbio Lagoon. In the final stretch of the excursion, we'll head to the hot springs of San Juan, where you'll enjoy a relaxing bath.
To regain strength, we'll have lunch in a local restaurant, and then we'll start our way back to Popayán.
