The island of Sao Miguel is a true natural paradise of the Azores islands. Discover its incredible landscapes with this Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo Jeep Tour.

Description

We'll meet up at the scheduled time on Avenida João Bosco Mota Amaral in Ponta Delgada. From here, we'll get into an all-terrain jeep and head towards the east of the island.

After a half-hour drive, we'll arrive at our first stop: Pico da Barrosa. From here, we'll enjoy a breathtaking view of Lagoa do Fogo. Did you know that this lake was formed over the caldera of a volcano after its last eruption in 1563?

We'll continue our journey to Ribeira Grande, where we'll learn about the town's history and the culture of the Azores.

Then, we'll enter an enclave where the volcanic terrain and the water meet again. In Sete Cidades, we'll reveal how the Blue and Green Lakes were formed. This corner has become one of the biggest attractions of the Azorean archipelago.

Next, we'll take you to a local restaurant for a buffet lunch. Afterwards, we'll return to the jeep, and after a brief stop at Lagoa de Santiago, we'll return to Ponta Delgada.

The tour will come to an end as we arrive back at the starting point after 8 hours of fun.
