Nordeste Tour & Faial da Terra Hiking Tour
Nordeste Tour & Faial da Terra Hiking Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Ponta Delgada at 9 am and drive to Faial da Terra, a small area of São Miguel, where we'll embark on a hiking route.
We'll walk through vegetation and mountains, passing by places such as Sanguinho, a village abandoned in the '70s that has been rebuilt to rescue its charm. Afterwards, we'll continue walking to the Salto do Prego waterfall, where we'll leave you time to enjoy the surroundings and take a dip if you wish. Here we'll also take the opportunity to recharge your batteries with a picnic lunch including a sandwich, cake, fruit, juice and water.
After lunch, we'll walk back to Faial da Terra, where you'll have free time to stroll around the old fishing harbour before boarding the bus to Nordeste.
You'll be amazed by the landscapes of green cliffs covered with flowers that surround this town. Ponta do Sossego and Vista dos Barcos are just some of the highlights of the trip. These are two viewpoints where we'll stop to admire the natural beauty of this place.
Our next stop will be at the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park, where we'll see many waterfalls, some up to 131 feet tall (40 metres)!
Finally, we'll arrive back at the starting point at around 4:30 pm.
