Discover the magic of Pompeii and Vesuvius on a guided tour that combines history, nature, gastronomy, and horseback riding. A perfect plan for lovers of adventure and good wine!
Description
Let's meet near the entrance of the Pompeii Archeological Park to begin our guided tour. For the next 2 hours, we'll explore the remains of this ancient Roman city, which was destroyed by the historic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
After our tour of Pompeii, we'll hop in a minibus and travel for 25 minutes to an Equestrian Center on the slopes of Vesuvius. There, we'll trade in four wheels for four legs and get ready for a horseback ride with a brief introduction. Ready to ride?
Once comfortable with our trusty steeds, we'll begin our riding tour along volcanic slopes, sitting at an altitude of between 400 and 500 meters above sea level (1312 to 1640 feet). We'll enjoy an hour's ride, admiring the impressive panoramic views and the volcanic landscape that surrounds us.
Following our volcanic adventure, we'll pile back into the minibus and head to a winery in Vesuvius National Park. There, a delicious lunch will be waiting for us, accompanied by a tasting of five wines. Our meal includes a starter of cold meats, cheeses, grilled vegetables and Neapolitan cake; a main course of pasta allo scarpariello or meatballs with sauce; and a Neapolitan pastiera for dessert.
Finally, with our appetites satiated, we'll return to the meeting point after a total of 7 hours.
