Discover the archaeological site of Pompeii and the picturesque towns of Amalfi and Ravello on this day trip around Campania!
Description
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the indicated time on Via Roma, before beginning this day trip to three of the most iconic sites on the Amalfi Coast.
Our first stop will be at Pompeii, an ancient Roman city declared a World Heritage Site, which saw a brutal end in 79 AD when it was unfathomably buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Thanks to an audio guide in English, we'll learn all about what happened on the day of this tragedy.
During our journey, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Amphitheatre of Pompeii, the Domus, the Theatre, the Baths, the Forum, and the frescoes and mosaics that adorned its walls. And that's not all – make sure not to miss the House of the Faun, the House of the Tragic Poet, and the Lupanar!
After our adventure through the ruins of Pompeii, we'll regroup and set off for the stunning Amalfi Coast, specifically Amalfi itself. There, you'll have 2 hours of free time to wander through its charming streets and experience the Italian dream. Fall in love with the beautiful Cathedral of Saint Andrew the Apostle, the lemon shops and ceramic shops, and the breathtaking view of its colourful houses from the harbour.
To wrap up our adventure, we'll head to Ravello, one of the most enchanting villages on the Amalfi Coast. Here, you'll have 40 minutes of free time to revel in the captivating views that await you at Villa Rufolo or the infinite terrace of Villa Cimbrone.
We'll set off on our journey back to the starting point in Pompeii, concluding this day trip after 7 hours.
