On this scooter tour through the vineyards of Barolo, you'll traverse the scenic southern part of Piedmont—the perfect opportunity to delve into the region's rich history and wine culture.
Scooter Tour
We'll kick off our scooter tour of Piedmont at the designated time, meeting at Strada Statale in Borgo San Martino. Get ready for a delightful and fun-filled journey!
As we set out on our electric scooters, we'll head south from Pollenzo, where the hills reach 500 meters (1,640 feet). Riding through these fields on an eco-friendly scooter, you'll be treated to magnificent views of the vineyards, showcasing a more sustainable viticulture.
Our journey will include a stop at the charming village of La Morra, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Barolo wine region. Following this, we'll take a brief detour to explore the Barolo Chapel—a colorful artistic jewel designed by the Englishman David Tremlett, nestled between the picturesque hills.
Next is Barolo, a quaint village steeped in a millennium of history and renowned as the birthplace of Barolo wine. We'll meander through the old town's narrow streets, continuing our scooter journey. We'll proceed to Monforte d'Alba, and before concluding the tour, you'll have to enjoy lunch at any of the local restaurants.
After an immersive 8.5 hours, we'll return to the meeting point and bring our tour to a close.
