Sarangkot Coffee Plantations Day Trip
Sarangkot Day Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pokhara and set off on a journey towards the coffee plantations of Sarangtok. Get ready to explore some of Nepal's most renowned plantations!
Our first stop is Lakeside, where we'll stroll along the shores of Phewa Lake. During this serene walk, we'll see local fishermen at work in this picturesque lagoon and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding rice terraces.
We'll take an uphill hike for two hours until we reach a welcoming village, home to a vibrant community of coffee producers. Alongside them, we'll explore the village and traverse the nearby coffee plantations on foot. As part of the journey, we'll also have the chance to visit a local bee farm, where you can savor the delectable and sweet honey produced on-site!
We'll continue as we get to know local women's cooperatives actively crafting recyclable handicrafts. Engage with their stories and experiences, and visit their store, where you can purchase delightful handmade souvenirs.
Then, we'll delve into the coffee plantations, unraveling the methods employed to cultivate high-quality coffee. Depending on the season, we might see the arabica coffee plants flowering or even the local coffee growers engaged in the intricacies of planting or harvesting.
Additionally, we'll explore the coffee processing center in Khadkathar, providing you with a firsthand look at the various stages of coffee seed processing. Prepare to witness demonstrations of crucial processes like hulling, sorting, and drying.
Our exciting day will come to a delightful close with a local lunch served right at the farm.
Finally, we'll return to Pokhara and leave you at your hotel 5.5 hours later.
