Annapurna Base Camp Trek: 6 Days from Pokhara
Annapurna Base Camp Trek: 6 Days from Pokhara
Day 1: Pokhara - Siwai - Chhomrong
On the first day, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Pokhara to begin this 6-day trek to Annapurna Base Camp.
We'll drive to Siwai village, where we'll start our trek on foot. After around a two hour drive, we'll begin our trek towards Chhomrong, the first destination of our trek and where we'll spend the first night.
Day 2: Chhomrong - Sinuwa - Himalaya
We'll wake up the second morning with a breathtaking view of the mountain range and, after a hearty breakfast, we'll follow a trail that will take us up a flight of stone steps to the rushing waters of the Chhomrong Khola River. After crossing over to the other bank via a suspension bridge, we'll then ascend again towards the village of Sinuwa, where we'll stop to rest and enjoy the views.
We'll then continue on our trek through a lush forest of bamboo, oak and rhododendron trees towards Himalaya.
Day 3: Himalaya - Machapuchare - Annapurna
This will be the most exciting day of the whole trek! We'll get up early in the morning and set off to visit not one, but two mountaineering base camps.
First, we'll start with an approximately four-hour hike through the Annapurna Sanctuary to Machapuchare base camp, located at no less than 3700 metres above sea level. A perfect opportunity to admire the incredible views of Machapuchare, Gangapurna and the entire Annapurna massif.
Afterwards, we'll continue our trek towards Annapurna base camp at 4130 meters, the highest point of the entire route.
Day 4: Annapurna - Sinuwa
Early in the morning, we'll wake up at Annapurna base camp and enjoy breakfast with unbeatable panoramic views of the almost vertical south face of Annapurna - a unique experience!
We'll then set off again towards the village of Sinuwa. On the way, we'll enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and pass through yak farms, forests and valleys until we reach our destination.
Day 5: Sinuwa - Siwai - Pokhara
Last push! On the fifth day, we'll continue to retrace our steps in the direction of Chhomrong, where we'll take a detour to visit the Jhinu Danda hot springs. Here, you can enjoy a well-deserved rest and a refreshing dip - you've earned it!
After this stop, we'll continue on to Siwai, where a bus will be waiting to take you back to Pokhara.
Once there, we'll drop you off at your hotel and you will have the rest of the afternoon free to explore Pokhara.
Day 6: Pokhara - Katmandú
It's time to say goodbye. We'll pick you up from your hotel in Pokhara and drive to Kathmandu, where we'll drop you off at your hotel. The drive will take approximately six to eight hours.
