Discover the natural, historical and cultural wonders of Montenegro on this four-day tour from Podgorica: explore the Bay of Kotor, Black Lake, Perast and much more!

Montenegro Tour: 4 Days from Podgorica

Day 1: Podgorica - Budva

Welcome to Montenegro! On arrival at Podgorica Airport, we'll be waiting to take you to the hotel in Budva where we'll be staying for the next three nights. Depending on your arrival time, you'll then have the rest of the day free to explore the historic city at your leisure or to discover it on a guided tour if you'd prefer.

Day 2: Bay of Kotor

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll set off to the Bay of Kotor, one of the most emblematic places in Montenegro. We'll visit the old town of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to numerous historic buildings, and learn about local traditions as we stroll around its main square and admire the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon.

We'll then make our way around the bay to the nearby town of Perast, where we'll renew energy with a delicious lunch before exploring the historic centre of this small former fishing village.

Next, we'll set sail on the Bay of Kotor and enjoy a boat trip to the island of Our Lady of the Rocks. On this tiny islet, we'll find a historic church dating back several centuries.

At the end of the day, we'll return to the hotel in Budva where we'll spend the night.

Day 3: Morača - Pljevlja - Black Lake

We'll pick you up from the hotel in Budva and head to our first stop of the day: the Morača Monastery. Built in the 13th century, this is one of Montenegro's best known medieval monuments. During the drive, we'll get to admire the extraordinary natural beauty of the Tara and Morača river canyons.

Our tour will continue past the Djurdjevica Tara Bridge, an iconic piece of engineering over the Tara River, before reaching the town of Pljevlja. Here we'll immerse ourselves in local culture visiting two of the most important religious sites in the area: Husein-paša's Mosque and the Holy Trinity Monastery, which date back to the 16th and 15th centuries respectively.

Next, we'll make our way to Zabljak, where we'll take a well-deserved break for lunch before exploring the Durmitor National Park. Surrounded by the breathtaking natural landscapes of Montenegro, we'll enjoy a peaceful walk around Black Lake.

After a full day exploring, we'll head back to the hotel in Budva.

Day 4: Budva

On the final day of our tour, we'll head back to Podgorica where you'll be dropped off at the airport in time for your flight after four unforgettable days exploring the best of Montenegro.
