If you love nature, you can't miss this tour of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, the biggest in all of Croatia. You'll love getting to know its 16 lakes with crystal-clear water and waterfalls!
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Once we've arrived, we'll begin this unforgettable trip around "water paradise". Do you know why it's called this? Find out on this tour!
We'll first hop on a shuttle bus or train that will take us to one of the tallest points in the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Here, we'll enjoy spectacular scenic views of the 30000 hectares that make up this park, including 16 lakes as well as a great number of streams and waterfalls.
After taking some essential keepsake photos, we'll begin our descent towards the lakes. During our approximately 4 to 8-kilometre (2.5 to 4.97-mile) hike, we'll see how the lakes' colours transform as the day progresses, from emerald to turquoise. Don't forget to keep an eye out for the biggest waterfall in the park, that has a 76-kilometre (47-mile) drop!
The hike will first take us to discover the lower lakes, where you'll find the four main lakes. After seeing the part of the park, we'll head to the upper lakes. Did you know that the most scientifically important lakes are found here? You'll be amazed when we tell you about their biodynamic ecosystem!
Our efforts during the hike will be rewarded once we reach the port, where we'll board a boat and enjoy a pleasant 15-minute ride. The great waterfall and the beautiful trees create a postcard-pretty scene.
Once the boat ride comes to an end, so will our tour of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, after a total of 4 hours.
