Tulum & Maya Community Excursion
Tulum & Maya Community Excursion
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your Riviera Maya hotel and drive to Tulum, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the Mexican Caribbean.
Upon arrival at this ancient pre-Columbian enclave, we'll take a guided tour of the Tulum archaeological complex. Over the course of two hours, we'll visit monuments such as the Temples of the Frescoes, where we'll see the carefully decorated stucco walls.
We'll continue our tour of Tulum at the Temple of the Descending God, where we'll learn about the history of this deity. We'll also stop at El Castillo, the largest monument of the archaeological complex, where we'll marvel at extraordinary panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
After visiting the Tulum site, we'll head to a Maya community in the area. There we'll be welcomed by members of the community, who will teach us about their daily life and main customs and traditions. We'll even have the opportunity to participate in a fun handmade tortilla workshop!
At the end of this cooking class, you'll have an hour of free time to enjoy a refreshing swim in the community cenote. Crystalline waters make this natural open-air lagoon a beautiful spot to take a dip - the perfect finishing touch to the experience!
Following this relaxing moment, we'll say goodbye to the Maya community and make our way back to your hotel in Riviera Maya, where arrival is scheduled 5.5 to 7 hours after departure.
