Want to get to know the Switzerland of Peru? On this excursion to Canchaque, we'll learn about the history of this beautiful town and discover the natural highlights of its surroundings!

Canchaque Excursion

Between 6 and 6:30 am, we'll you up at your hotel in Piura and then head to the town of Canchaque. The bus ride will take us approximately 3 hours.

Welcome to the Switzerland of Piura! Upon arrival, we'll take a short break so you can have breakfast on your own. Afterwards, we'll start a walking route on which we'll discover the beautiful landscapes of this town famous for its extensive hillsides full of lush vegetation.

First, we'll head to the suspension bridge, which will offer us an incredible view of Limón creek. Then, we'll continue the guided tour at the viewpoint of Huayanay hill. Afterwards, we'll leave you 1.5 hours of free time so that you can have lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch, we'll go on a short hike to admire Los Peroles de Mishahuaca. We'll walk for 20 minutes to reach this waterfall of crystal clear waters divided into three levels. It's a truly stunning sight!

The last part of the tour will be dedicated to walking through the historic center of Canchaque. We'll admire the colonial architecture of the Plaza de Armas, a place where time seems to have stopped, and stroll through the narrow streets of this beautiful town while learning about its history.

Finally, we'll finish the excursion by dropping you back off at your hotel between 7 and 7:30 pm.
