Enjoy Scotland from a different perspective while experiencing adrenaline-inducing fun white water rafting down the River Tummel in Pitlochry!
White Water Rafting on the River Tummel
Meet your guide at the scheduled time at the entrance to Scottish & Southern Energy in Pitlochry. Gathered on the banks of the River Tummel our guide will give us an explanation on basic rafting techniques, and after grabbing our equipment, it'll be time to put the theory into practice! Ready to paddle?
Following the course of the river on our rafts, we'll enjoy quiet, calm stretches of water during which we'll be able to admire the lush Scottish countryside surrounding us. But of course, we'll also be faced with lively river rapids - hold on tight!
We'll direct our rafts between rocks and around obstacles as well as descending a 16-foot (5 metre) waterfall! All this will prepare us to face the Zig Zag and the Shark's Tooth, the steepest rapids on the river!
After two hours white water rafting, we'll head back to try land and return to the original departure point, where our activity will end.
