Cochiguaz Hiking & Cycling Tour
Description
From O'Higgins street in Pisco Elqui, where we'll pick you up at 9 am, we'll move towards the captivating landscapes of the Cochiguaz river valley.
As soon as we arrive at this valley, we'll start the first activity of the day, which will consist of a low-difficulty trekking route through Cochiguaz. During the hike, in which we'll cover a distance of approximately 7 km (4.3 miles), we'll contemplate the landscapes of the Chilean Andean foothills.
We'll continue the trekking route through an area of semi-arid forests and rocky terrain until we reach the breathtaking ravine of Las Tolas. Afterwards, we'll continue the hike to the Cochiguaz riverbed, where those who wish can take a refreshing dip.
We'll also pause by the river for a box lunch, including a salad and juice. After recharging our batteries, we'll embark on a cycling tour of Cochiguaz. On this cycling route, which is of intermediate difficulty, we'll cycle for 16 km (10 miles) through beautiful natural scenery.
The cycling route will continue to the emblematic Enlightenment Stupa, a well-known Buddhist shrine located in the middle of the Cochiguaz Valley desert. From this sacred monument we'll cycle back to the place where we started the cycling tour.
There, the vehicle will be waiting for us to take us back to the meeting point in Pisco Elqui, where we'll arrive after 7 hours of touring.
