Pisa Food Tour
At 11:30 am we'll meet in Piazza Garibaldi, next to the Garibaldi statue, where our local guide will be waiting for us. This gastronomic expert will accompany us on a discovery of Pisa's culinary tradition, which has always been synonymous with excellence.
We'll start by strolling through the streets of the historic centre, in search of the most traditional flavours of the local cuisine... How about a platter of Tuscan cheeses and cold cuts with a good glass of wine? We'll taste these delicacies in one of the oldest wine shops in Pisa! Of course, you can't miss a portion of cecina, very thin focaccia made with chickpea flour, a real must of Pisan gastronomy.
During the tour, we'll discover restaurants known only to the locals, where we'll taste the typical dishes of Pisa's gastronomy, such as the Tuscan soup, the mucco pisano, typical of every self-respecting trattoria, the sausage with beans all'uccelletto or the famous ribollita, a comforting traditional dish prepared with bread and vegetables.
Finally, we'll enjoy some ice cream with refined flavours, made with local and seasonal products. A sweet note to end this food experience!
