Bonsucesso Waterfalls Hike
Bonsucesso Waterfalls Hike
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Pirenopolis to head north of the city. During our drive, we'll see former paths paved by slaves in the 18th century. These historic pathways were once used to transport precious metals in the area.
After a short 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) drive, we'll arrive at the starting point of our hiking route to the Bonsucesso Waterfalls. Our exciting 1.2-kilometer (0.74-mile) medium-difficulty route runs across a breathtaking natural space with 6 different waterfalls.
First, we'll see the Açude, Landi, and Palmito Waterfalls, the latter offering a tranquil natural pool at its feet, reaching down to 2 meters (6.5 feet) deep. From here, we'll head to Pedreira Waterfall, a stand-out natural attraction thanks to its emerald green waters.
Next up, we'll cross a small bridge that takes us to the Bosucesso Waterfall, the namesake of the waterfall network we find ourselves in. Here, alongside the cascading waters, we'll enjoy a refreshing dip in the serene natural pool. Taking advantage of the picturesque backdrop, we'll pause to enjoy our packed lunches and snacks.
Then, with newfound energy, we'll hike over to Lagoa Azul Waterfall, our final stop of the day. From here, we'll hoof it back to the starting point of our Bonsucesso Waterfalls hike.
After a thrilling 4.5 hours of connecting with nature, we'll bring you back to your hotel in Pirenopolis.
