Tour of Piran + Wine Tasting
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Tartini Square and start our guided tour of Piran. Are you ready to explore one of Slovenia's most beautiful coastal cities?
We'll share the fascinating story of our meeting point, which was once a port, and explain why the buildings surrounding the square impress with their Venetian-style architecture. The Veneziana House is a prime example, as it's one of the city's most symbolic landmarks.
Next, we'll walk toward the impressive Minorite Monastery of St. Francis, a more than 700-year-old building! Here you'll take in the privileged views of the Piran Walls, which remain almost untouched.
Continuing our tour, you'll marvel at the charming city from two of its highest viewpoints: St. George's Church, whose tower reaches 154 feet (47 meters), and Piran's Lighthouse, a spectacular stone structure that offers a one-of-a-kind panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea.
After seeing the viewpoints, we'll check out the First of May Square, one of the most popular spots for the Piran locals. We'll then stop at a gourmet store, where you'll enjoy a tasting of two glasses of wine and an appetizer of salami, truffles, olive oil, and bread. What better way to finish your tour than with this delicious treat?
We'll conclude our tour at the starting point two hours after the activity begins.
