Immerse yourself in the stunning natural landscapes of Slovenia on this tour of Lipica and the Skocjan Caves from Piran. Plus, you'll meet the famous Lipizzaner horses!

Lipica & Skocjan Caves Tour

At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Piran and drive northeast for 50 minutes, in the direction of Lipica, the birthplace of the famous Lipizzaner horses.

We'll visit one of the most important stud farms in Slovenia, where we'll learn all about this iconic horse breed, which has been bred here for over 400 years and is considered a historical and cultural monument. We'll discover the characteristics of Lipizzaner horses, why they're so important, and how they're cared for here in Lipica.

What's more, you'll have the opportunity to get up close to the horses, visit the Lipikum Museum and, if you wish, attend a show starring these majestic creatures.

After discovering all there is to know about the Lipica stud farm and the horses here, we'll travel to the Skocjan Caves. We'll visit the interior of these impressive caves, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire the karst formations that have developed over the years along the Reka River.

The tour will end at 2 pm back at your hotel in Piran.
