At the indicated time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Pinar del Río. Are you ready for an adventure? The heart and soul of this tour is tobacco, thanks to which we'll discover the land where the finest cigars in the world are produced. We'll learn about the culture, traditions and harvesting techniques that make this Cuban product legendary.
We start the day with a visit to the renowned Francisco Donatien cigar factory. Here, master craftsmen will give life to some of Pinar del Río's most exquisite cigars, including the prestigious Trinidad and Vegueros brands.
The next stop will take us to a despalillo area, where the tobacco leaves are deveined and carefully selected according to their quality, size and texture. After witnessing this process, we'll understand the crucial importance of this step in the making of cigars.
We'll continue to explore the world of tobacco in the DeCuba "Arte en Madera" workshop. This place will give us a detailed view of the creation of humidors, essential for preserving the aroma and flavour of cigars.
Our route will continue at the impressive Vega Quemado de Rubí estate, located in the town of San Juan y Martínez. There, we'll see the hand-twisting process of the tobacco leaves. What do you think of this arduous task? Of course, we couldn't end the visit without trying a traditional cigar. We'll look at the nuances and the unique flavour that make Cuban cigars so special.
To round off the experience, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch and a refreshing cocktail at the Vega Quemado estate in Rubí. Cheers!
