Sedona Trip
Itinerario
We'll pick you up at the indicated meeting point in Phoenix and then head to Sedona, the town of the crimson rocks, where you will feel as if you have traveled back to the time of the native Americans.
Once in Sedona, our first stop will be the Montezuma Castle National Monument, situated in the valley of the river Verde. This fascinating set of cave dwellings were inhabited by the Sinagua people during pre-Colombian times. We will spend some time here to admire this 700-year-old cliff face fort.
Then we head into the surrounding desert to explore the unique rock formations which Arizona is famous for. Among these spectacular landscapes, you will also important landmarks, such as Bell Rock, Airport Mesa Vortex, and the Chapel of the Holy Cross, a Catholic church constructed on a hilltop. We will also see Cathedral Rock, Submarine Rock, and the popular Snoopy Rock, where you will realize how it earned this familiar name.
We will head back onto the road, arriving in the historic uptown Sedona, where you will have time to browse its numerous art galleries and shops and contemplate the views of the city from some of its wonderful terraces while enjoying a glass of wine (not included).
In the evening, as the sun casts its last glowing embers over the Arizona horizon, we will return to Phoenix where the tour finishes.
