Apache Trail Tour
We'll collect you from the meeting point in Phoenix and then head out along the oldest and most famous route through Arizona - the Apache Trail. Our first stop is at the Superstition Mountains, a range of craggy peaks where you will hear all about the fascinating legend of the hidden treasure in these hills.
We will continue along the route which for centuries guided Indians through the terrain and later served as a stagecoach track for frontiersmen. Our next stop is the ghost town of Goldfield which has been preserved exactly how it was over a century ago. Here you have the opportunity to try panning for your own gold using the traditional methods of the old prospectors!
We then head further along the trail to Canyon Lake, where we board the popular Dolly Steamboat. For 6 miles the vessel will cruise along the tranquil waters as you watch bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and other desert animals around the shores of the lake.
Our western adventure doesn't finish until we have visited the city of Tortilla Flat, the last remaining stagecoach stop on the Apache Trail which conserves its original architecture and traditions of the old frontier.
We'll finally return to Phoenix where the tour finishes.
