Tour Options

When booking, you can opt for a daytime Silk Island tour or an evening food tour. In both cases, the tour includes pickup at your hotel in Phnom Penh, an English-speaking guide and transport by vespa.

Please note that on both tours the guide will be in charge of driving the vespa. Each one has a capacity for 2 people: the guide and one passenger. If you book for more than 2 people, the tour will be done with different scooters and guides.

Silk Island Tour (4.5 Hours)

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Phnom Penh and drive the vespas to the outskirts of the Cambodian capital. We'll stop at the dock of the Mekong River, where we'll board a ferry with the vespas.

After a short river crossing of just 15 minutes, we'll arrive at our destination, where we'll enjoy an exciting vespa tour of Silk Island. We'll ride through different parts of this enclave, where we'll see its fields, agricultural villages and local markets. We'll also visit a tofu skin production centre and a Buddhist temple.

Then, we'll visit a silk weaving workshop. Here, we'll see how silk fabrics are woven, the ancient techniques of which have been handed down from generation to generation for centuries.

Finally, we'll return to the Silk Island pier to board with our vespas for the ferry back to Phnom Penh. Once we disembark, we'll take you and the vespas back to your hotel in the Cambodian capital.

Evening Food Tour (4 Hours)

If you opt for this option, we'll pick you up from your hotel and take you on an evening tour of Phnom Penh by vespa. This is not just any tour, but a food tour where we'll taste the following 10 specialities: fried rice noodles, Cambodian rice noodle soup, crispy pancakes, rice cake, insects, chive and garlic cake, grilled meat, fried spring roll, fresh spring roll and a dessert.

Throughout this vespa tour, we'll stop at various street stalls and restaurants in downtown Phnom Penh to sample the various food tastings included in the tour.

As we'll see, the street food in Phnom Penh is very varied, which will allow us to enjoy a wide variety of Cambodian cuisine. Finally, we'll stop at Bassac Lane Bar, where those of age can enjoy a local beer.

Finally, we'll conclude this evening food tour of Phnom Penh by returning to your hotel with the vespas.
