Discover beautiful hidden marine ecosystems with this fantastic snorkeling activity on Berlenga Grande Island. You'll also follow in the footsteps of the Vikings and pirates!

Snorkeling in Berlenga Grande

At 8:30 am, we'll meet up at Casal Ponte de Peniche, where we'll give you the snorkeling equipment. After that, we'll go to the port to board the speedboat that will take us out onto the water.

After a fun 45-minute journey, we'll arrive at Berlenga Grande, an island with an extraordinary ecosystem. We'll put on our equipment and make the first dive of the day. We'll spend 30 minutes swimming among natural arches and caves and admiring the Atlantic marine biodiversity. If you're lucky, we may even spot an amazing sunfish or schools of other colorful fish.

Around 12 pm, we'll have a traditional cream cake, fresh fruit and water aboard the boat. Feeling energised, we'll set sail again to the spot where we'll jump into the water again.

With our goggles and fins on, we'll snorkel for 40 minutes around Fort San Juan Bautista in search of octopus, cod, and small corals. Afterward, we'll take the boat back to the port of Peniche.

Our snorkeling activity will come to an end back at the meeting point between 2:30 and 3 pm.

Experiencia chulísima. La empresa muy profesionales y con personal muy amable, el monitor, Alfonso, genial. La mar estaba picada, pero te sientes seguro en el trayecto y fue emocionante y divertido. No teníamos nada de experiencia en Snorkel, pero tanto el monitor como todo el personal se nota que les gusta enseñar y te lo ponen muy fácil. El contacto con la naturaleza es increíble. Awesome experience. The company is very professional and the staff are very friendly. The instructor, Alfonso, was great. The sea was rough, but you felt safe on the trip and it was exciting and fun. We had no experience in snorkelling, but you can tell that both the instructor and the entire staff like to teach and make it very easy for you. The contact with nature is incredible. Fantástico. Hicimos snorkel aunque el resto de los que iban en la lancha fueron a hacer buceo. El viaje en lancha estupendo, sorprendentemente no había casi viento ni olas que era lo que más miedo me daba, jeje. El equipo genial, íbamos acompañados por 5 monitores, el chico que nos acompañó en snorkel muy majo y hablaba muy bien en español. Salimos a las 8.30 y volvimos cerca de las 16 horas. Fantastic. We snorkeled although the rest of those who were on the boat went diving. The trip by boat was great, surprisingly there was hardly any wind or waves, which was what scared me the most, hehe. Great way to experience snorkeling and diving for the first time while taking a break from surfing or other activities. Plenty to see and lovely scenery. We wanted to do snorkeling for the first time but feel very tempted now to dive for a more surreal experience.
